South America Rugby Challenge
The South America Rugby Challenge its a promotional rugby tour developed for Schools interested to play, compete and share in the 3 capitals cities of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay with top locals schools rugby teams.
Dates:
- Dates: From March to November 2021 / 2022 / 2023
Genre and Age of Players:
- First XV or U18 (Boys)
- Second XV or U16 (Boys)
- U14 (Boys)
Aim:
- Promote rugby and cultural exchange among young people from around the world.
Format of Competition:
- Each Team will visit 3 cities of South America ,and will play 1 rugby match with a local team (IRB Rules for Youth).
- In each city, will be disputing a Single Cup, the following:
The Buenos Aires Rugby Cup
The Montevideo Rugby Cup
The Santiago de Chile Rugby Cup
The South America Challenge Rugby Cup:
The Teams who win the 3 rugby fixtures during the tour, will get the Argentina Challenge Cup.
Package with Accommodations and Transfers:
The tour include 12 nights in South America, where the players with host by locals families in each city:
- 5 nights in Buenos Aires, Argentina: 2 nights billeting + 3 nights at hotel
- 3 nights in Montevideo, Uruguay: 2 nights billeting + 1 night at hotel
- 4 nights in Santiago, Chile: 2 nights billeting + 2 nights at hotelNote: Extension to play rugby in others regions of Argentina, Chile or Uruguay will be available too.

Morning City Tour of Santiago. Afternoon training
Day 3. Santiago de Chile
Check out Hotel and transfer to the host School. Billeting for next 2 nights
Day 4. Santiago de Chile
1st Fixture vs Local Team playing for the Santiago de Chile Cup. After match function
Day 5. Santiago de Chile to Buenos Aires (Argentina)
Flight from Santiago de Chile to Buenos Aires.
Transfer to the hotel for next 2 nights
Day 6. Buenos Aires
Morning City Tour of Buenos Aires. Afternoon training
Day 7. Buenos Aires
Check out Hotel and transfer to the host School. Billeting for next 2 nights
Day 8. Buenos Aires
2nd Fixture vs Local Team playing for the Buenos Aires Cup. After match function
Day 9. Buenos Aires to Montevideo (Uruguay)
Ferry from Buenos Aires to Montevideo (3 hrs in aprox)
Transfer to the hotel for next 1 night
Day 10. Montevideo
Morning City Tour Montevideo. Afternoon training and transfer to the host School.
Billeting for next 2 nights
Day 11. Montevideo
3rd Fixture vs Local Team playing for the Montevideo Cup. After match function
Day 12. Montevideo – Buenos Aires
Check out Hotel and transfer to take the ferry to Buenos Aires.
Arrive and check in for 1 night
Day 13. Departure
Check out, last minute shopping and transfer to the airport for flight departure
